LEAD ANALOG / MIXED-SIGNAL LAYOUT ENGINEER (M/F/D)

Your mission
We are looking for an experienced "Lead Analog / Mixed Signal Layout Engineer (m/f/d)" to contribute to our Circuit Design Team in Germany / Mannheim or Austria / Villach (hybrid or fully remote). The team is tasked with delivering high quality and best performing solutions for high-speed data interfaces. We prioritize timely delivery, design quality, and a customer-centric approach in everything we do.

  • Leading the layout implementation of full-custom digital and analog/mixed-signal macros, owning the top-level views.
  • Taking responsibility of delivering fully physically verified layouts to the digital backend implementation team.
  • Working with circuit design engineers to estimate and schedule work and coordinate layout efforts.
  • Leading a group of layout engineers, distributing work packages and ensuring quality of results.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of inhouse guidelines and a semi-automated full-custom layout workflow.
  • Working closely with circuit design and digital implementation groups to support a successful and on-time product release.  
Your profile
  • B.S./M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related subject with emphasis on hardware design.
  • 10+ years of experience in layout design.
  • Experience implementing high speed analog layout designs to achieve good matching, low parasitics and high bandwidth.
  • Understanding of IR drop, RC delay, electromigration and coupling capacitance.
  • Expert in interpreting physical verification reports (DRC, ERC, LVS, etc.)
  • Proficient in Cadence design flow and full-custom EDA layout tools, in particular Virtuoso Layout XL and DRC / ERC / LVS / DFM check procedures.
  • Worked with Cadence Virtuoso Layout XL, Pegasus and Calibre.
  • Worked in advanced process nodes (FinFET, multi-patterning).
  • Basic circuit design, schematic entry and simulation experience is a plus. 
  • Script programming languages such as Python, TCL, Skill are a plus.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English are required.

Deine Mission
Wir suchen Dich an unserem Standort in Deutschland/ Mannheim oder Österreich/ Villach (Hybrid – und/oder Full Remote Work Modell) als "Lead Analog / Mixed Signal Layout (m/w/d)", der/die unser Circuit Design Team baldmöglichst verstärkt. Gemeinsam entwickeln wir mit unseren Kunden maßgeschneiderte Lösungen für High-Speed Data Interfaces. Unser Fokus liegt dabei auf höchster Qualität, pünktlicher Lieferung und einer engen Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Kunden.

  • Übernimm die Verantwortung für Analog/Mixed-Signal und Digital/Full-Custom Blöcke und Subsysteme.
  • Führe das Design und die Implementierung von Analog/Mixed-Signal und Full-Custom Schaltungen durch, einschließlich Schematics, Testbenches und Simulation.
  • Arbeite mit Systemarchitekten bei der Ableitung von Blocklevel-Spezifikationen zusammen.
  • Unterstütze das Verification Team bei der Modellierung.
  • Unterstütze das Layout-Team bei der Physical Implementation.
  • Sei Mentor für Junior Designer und führe gegebenenfalls kleinere Design Subteams.
  • Organisiere und beteilige Dich am Design-Review-Prozess.
  • Arbeite eng und funktionsübergreifend mit verschiedenen Teams zusammen, um eine erfolgreiche und termingerechte Produktfreigabe zu unterstützen.
Dein Profil
  • Bachelor- oder Masterabschluss in Elektrotechnik, Physik, Computer Engineering, Informationstechnologie oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet mit Schwerpunkt auf Hardware-Design.
  • Mehr als 10 Jahre Berufserfahrung, einschließlich Praktika.
  • Erfahrung im Schaltungsentwurf im Bereich High-Speed-SerDes-Design oder verwandter Funktionalitäten (PLLs, Rx oder Tx Analog Frontends, High-Speed-Digital-Full-Custom-Logik).
  • Erfahrung mit Mixed-Signal-Designs, die digitale Control-Loops integrieren.
  • Erfahrung mit Advanced Process Nodes ist ein Vorteil (FDSOI, FinFET).
  • Gute Kenntnisse des Cadence Design Flows und EDA-Tools, insbesondere Virtuoso Schematic/Layout, ADE Assembler und Spectre.
  • Kenntnisse in Python und TCL sind von Vorteil.
  • Gute schriftliche und mündliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Englisch.

Du erhältst 14 Monatsgehälter pro Jahr. Abhängig von Deiner Expertise und Deinen Fähigkeiten ist auch eine höhere Vergütung möglich.
